The skelli (Cuon astralis, pl.: skellii) is a mammalian species indigenous to the southern continent. They are a natural prey of dragons and are among the oldest mammalian species known to exist. The northern continent has a large population of skellii after many of them migrated to escape predation. This has resulted in a northern-native subspecies which evolved to adapt to the cooler and less dangerous climates.
